Celestron 5 Telescope
The Celestron 5 is a serious high performance telescope that has been
designed in a compact size. The C5 provides 4 1/2 times more light gathering
ability than a 60mm telescope and 2 1/2 times greater than an 80mm scope.
The Celestron 5 can easily outperform a smaller aperture telescope. The
optical system of the C5 comes with StarBright coatings. When you require a
powerful instrument that delivers brilliant, crisp views, the C5 can take
you to deep space. NASA chose the C5 because of its optical system, for many
space shuttle missions. For a combination of earth and celestial viewing try the Celestron 71018 Skymaster review.
The Celestron 5 is equipped with a new German Equatorial mount that has
accurate worm gears on both axes for extremely smooth stability. The C5 is
one of the most stable in its class because of its heavy-duty tripod with
larger and more substantial legs that offer great dampening qualities for
more stable views. For easier alignment there is a latitude scale and an
optical polar finderscope for accurate alignments.
