Celestron Firstscope 114EQ Short Reflector Telescope
The Celestron Firstscope 114EQ short reflector telescope is armed
with a CG-2 equatorial mount which is very stable. The mount has setting
circles and slow motion controls on both R.A. and DEC axes for simple,
smooth tracking.
The 114EQ Celestron Firstscope is a 4 1/2 inch Newtonian telescope that
provides greater portability than the standard longer tube Newtonian while
maintaining performance and power. The 114EQ's tube is 18 inches long and
has built-in correction lens. This gives it all the focal length of the
standard model, while decreasing aberrations.
The Celestron 114EQ short telescope stands on a sturdy adjustable
aluminum tripod with accessory tray. It weighs only 16 pounds, compared to the Celestron Firstscope 60AZ refractor telescope which weighs 7 pounds. Accessories
include a StarPoint Finderscope and The Sky LI CD-ROM.
