The Celestron Firstscope 60EQ telescope is equipped with a German
equatorial mount which has setting circles and slow motion controls on the
DEC and R.A. axes. These controls will improve your ability to locate and
track your favorite objects.
Carrying your 60EQ Firstscope Celestron telescope to your favorite
observing location is a snap, even with one arm, because the 60EQ only
weighs 11 pounds, compared to the Celestron Firstscope 70EQ which is 17 pounds. Once there you can set it up easily on its sturdy
adjustable aluminum tripod with accessory tray.
The Celestron Firstscope 60EQ works perfectly with 20mm 45x, and 10mm 90x
eyepieces. The 60EQ has coated optics and smooth functioning mounts. Its
components are all glass and the telescopes are glossy black aluminum.
