Celestron G5 Telescope
The Celestron G5 telescope is ideal for astronomers who want good
performance and portability rolled into one. The G5 can be used for viewing
planets, and nebulae, to photography and daytime viewing. To see these images on your computer get the NexRemote Celestron GOTO Kit, its amazing.
The resolution of the Celestron G5 is very good, and its contrast is good
enough to see M57, and ring nebulae in Lyra. When looking at the moon you'll
be able to see crevasses in the lunar surface, and see the shape of low
lying ridges as well as mountains.
There are two problems all telescopes deal with, which the Celestron G5
has solved. First its reflecting design eliminates the chromatic aberration
problem refractors experience. The G5's corrector plate design eliminates
the curved field and coma problems Newtonian designs have.
The Celestron G5 telescope is a good value for a small portable scope. It
has good optics, and compared to many traditional travel scopes, the
aperture is greater. Under dark skies images of Saturn and Jupiter are sharp
and show good detail.
