The Kahles Konusmotor 114 4.5 inch equatorial reflector is great for beginning astronomers who want to see a lot of the sky. It provides wide angle low power observations of nebulas, galaxies, and open star clusters, and high power images of the Moon and planets.

The Kahles Konusmotor equatorial's optical system consists of 114mm, 4.5 aperture, 900mm focal length. It uses a Newtonian reflector with all glass mirrors. To ensure a long life, all mirrors are coated with highly reflective aluminum and overcoated with quartz.

The Kahles Konusmotor 114, 4.5 inch equatorial reflector is equipped with two low to medium power 1.25 inch eyepieces, a 10mm and a 17mm with a field of view that is almost two times the diameter of the full Moon.

Both eyepieces have anti-reflection multi-coatings on their lens surfaces for sharp images, and great contrast.

The Kahles Konusmotor equatorial reflector has a finderscope, which is battery operated. It projects a dot of red light on the sky exactly where the scope is pointing. This makes alignment and centering quick and easy.

Once your celestial object is centered you can track it easily using the equatorial mount of the Kahles Konusmotor. By aligning the mount on the north celestial pole, the supplied motor drive can automatically follow the motion of planets and stars, as they move east to west across the sky.
