The
12 inch Meade LX200 telescope
allows you to see deep space up close because
of its large aperture. Compared to an 8" telescope the 12" Meade enables you to see the Orion Nebulae with more than twice the area than
the 8". Jupiter's inter-locking structural detail is observable even under
moderate seeing conditions. If you need something smaller try the Meade LX90 LNT telescope.
Meade LX200 telescopes satisfy the requirements of serious astronomers and many school and college research programs due to its high
levels of resolution and image brightness. The 12" model gathers 44 percent
more light than the Meade 10".
The 12 inch Meade LX200 telescope
is equipped a progressive tension, mirror
lock which works together with the Zero Image Shift Micro-focuser which
cancels any residual image shift during focusing. Plus because the
telescopes primary mirror is locked in position, the mirror lock results in
even more accurate long-distance GO TO slews of the telescope.
