Orion Highlight Plossl Eyepieces
Orion Highlight Plossl eyepieces are for star gazers that want eyepieces on
steroids for extra performance. Like the Sirius, Highlight's have a 52
degree field of view, and 43 degrees for the 40mm for sharp, crisp images.
But instead of having optics that are multi-coated, the Orion Highlight
Plossl eyepieces have optics that are fully multi-coated, for the highest
possible light transmission and great contrast. The faint detail in deep-sky
objects is increased, and you'll see more of those pinpoint star images. Try it with a Orion Observer 60mm Altazimuth
refractor telescope.
Highlight Plossl Orion eyepieces have machined aluminum housings that
have an anodized finish, with grip traction knurled right into the metal.
This is the only Plossl that has this. In order to accept filters a setscrew
safety recess is machined into the barrels which are threaded. For
protection there are top and bottom end caps.
