Takahashi C400 Observatory Telescope
The Takahashi c-400 observatory telescope is designed for intense
research applications. The craftsmanship is constructed meticulously
throughout. For a wider field of view the c-400 comes with a removable
f/10.4 focal reducer. Also for research is the Takahashi FCT 200 refractor telescope.
The Takahashi c-400 observatory telescope provides incredibly high
resolution without sacrificing contrast or a flat field because it utilizes
the Classical Cassegrain configuration with a parabolic primary mirror and
hyperbolic secondary.
The c-400 Takahashi telescope has only 29% secondary obstruction compared
to a typical Ritchey-Chretien Cassegrain which is 40% or more. A heavy-duty
permanent equatorial mount with highly accurate GOTO slewing like the Temma
EM-2500 or EM-3500 is recommended because the c-400's optical assembly
weighs 165 pounds. All c-400 Takahashi telescopes are custom made.
